| | We are a Stotfold based drama group who have been established for more than 40 years.
Fairfield Players were established at the Fairfield Hospital primarily as a pastime for hospital staff.
Their efforts were originally presented for the amusement and entertainment of patients.
The group expanded and became founder members of the Bedfordshire Drama Association, and over the years have produced many plays, progressing to the second round of the all England One Act Drama Festival on at least three occasions.
Since the closure of Fairfield Hospital the Players have relocated to the Stotfold Memorial Hall (just down the road!). Sadly, the connections with the Hospital are all but gone, but the Players are proud to maintain the name.
The players usually put on three productions per year, and are a regular feature of Stotfold's Carnival week.
With many acknowledgements for acting and production to their credit they are a worthwhile group to join: either front of house, on stage or back stage.
